Tennis, darts & cue sports

One competitor, one price: individual sports leave little room to hide, and an independent bookmaker’s lines on them often differ from a larger rival’s. The way these markets are constructed is what follows.

Tennis, darts and snooker lead, with golf, table tennis, badminton and padel next, then curling and chess for the unusual. Each-way terms belong to golf, and how many places are paid depends on the event and on the operator, which is why the market is the source.

Britain has no statutory list of permitted markets. Each operator holds a licence for a category, such as real events, and decides on markets itself.
